obligatory about me page

I've been writing software now for over a decade.  I started with Microsoft project and C++ using the Microsoft Foundation Classes and Advanced Template Library doing COM/DCOM development.  Since then, I've used 4G languages like RSI IDL,  mainstream languages like C#, Java, Python, and Ruby, and more esoteric fare like ML and Prolog.  I've developed embedded systems in C for Microchip PIC microcontrollers and large distributed supercomputing systems in Erlang.  I've recently built systems in C#/ASP.Net, Java, Erlang, Ruby, and JavaScript, and I'm hacking on Clojure.

I'm currently gainfully employed as a computer scientist in the Cyber-Security Research & Development group at Sandia National Laboratories.  I'm a certified enterprise architect (TOGAF 9.1), a certified penetration tester (GXPN), and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). I also hold a chair as a Research Assistant Professor at the University of New Mexico within the Electrical & Computer Engineering department. I actively develop software, both at my day job and with the informatics group at UNM.  You can't be worth much doing software-centric cyber-security work if you aren't producing software, after all.

This is my current CV. Fortunately for me, I do enjoy writing, but unfortunately for me I enjoy writing software more than writing papers. Submitted papers are those that I've submitted to conferences and haven't been notified of acceptance or rejection yet. Papers that aren't marked as submitted have been accepted and either have been or will be published.
